Loni Sanders was born to a white American father and a Japanese mother. Her father and mother had met while he was serving as a pilot during the Korean War. Sanders first modeled and was first discovered by Rupert Daines. She started her career as a glamour model, and appeared in several men's magazines, such as Penthouse, Genesis, Swank, and Gallery. She began appearing in hardcore roles after meeting the actor Mike Ranger, whom she married; although she initially confined her roles to sex scenes with Ranger or fellow actresses, Sanders' performances eventually extended to other male porn stars. Her petite build made her popular among fans. Following her divorce, she quit acting to become a production manager with Vivid Video. Her pornographic acting career was at its height during the late 1970's and early 1980's.
Sanders has been inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame[1] and XRCO Hall of Fame.[2]
Sanders considers herself bisexual in her private life. Her marriage to Rick Ranger ended due to his adultary and cocaine addiction. That relationship had lasted fifteen years when it ended.
